The buzzword for homework help is The Beehive School; part of a larger free information website from the nonprofit organization, One Economy. The Beehive School provides educational resources for grades 1–12 on math, science, English, social studies, foreign languages, art and music.

The Beehive School has colorful design features that will attract and hold kids attention. However, the homework resources are not as comprehensive as our top three products and contacting The Beehive School is difficult.

Features Set:  

The Beehive School has a large educational database. Grade levels are divided into Elementary, Middle and High School students. Each grade level has its own portal where students can enter, click on a subject and follow the links to lessons, articles, games and quizzes that are appropriate for the students’ learning level. In addition, a parent portal provides articles and advice for parents about helping their children with homework.

Ease of Use:  

Students can click on a major subject category such as science, and then choose from a list of sub–categories to narrow their search. The information in each portal is relevant to that particular age group, but it would be even more helpful to separate each portal into specific grade levels. Students connected to other websites can click on a homepage link to get back to The Beehive School main page, but if they are exploring on The Beehive website, they have to use the Back button to return to the main page, which can be tedious.

Ease of Installation/Setup:  

The Beehive School is a free information resource, so no passwords or extra software is required; however, a high–speed Internet connection is recommended since download times are much shorter than with dialup.
