The University of Michigan has a free education search engine called IPL (Internet Public Library) that provides online resources for college level and grades K–12. IPL covers an extensive list of subjects related to math, English, science, social studies and foreign languages.
IPL’s main web page provides college level resources, the KidSpace page covers K–7 grade levels and TeenSpace covers 7–12 grade levels. KidSpace has useful resources for most subjects but TeenSpace is lacking in science and math.
Students can click on a subject for a large list of online resources, which include lessons, tutorials, experiments and quizzes. Students can find additional information through online encyclopedias, dictionaries and almanacs or they can ask a question that will be answered within three days.
